ChargeBuddy - Terms & Conditions
By downloading or using ChargeBuddy, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully before using the app.
License and Intellectual Property
ChargeBuddy is provided for your personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, reverse engineer, attempt to extract the source code of, translate, or create derivative versions of the app except where applicable law expressly permits it. The app and its related trademarks, copyrights, and other intellectual-property rights belong to Eric Walker.
Your Charging Records
ChargeBuddy helps you manually record and organize EV charging sessions, vehicles, charging locations, networks, energy, cost, and related details. You are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the information you enter. ChargeBuddy does not independently verify session details, electricity rates, charger information, or other records.
Statistics, Estimates, and Comparisons
Dashboard totals, 30-day and lifetime statistics, monthly trends, charts, home and public charging breakdowns, charging speeds, estimated battery cycles, savings estimates, public-charging comparisons, and charge highlights are informational results derived from the data you enter. Results may be incomplete, rounded, or unavailable when session data is missing or insufficient.
Actual charging costs, energy delivered, battery impact, charging speed, and savings may differ because of factors including:
- Incorrect, incomplete, outdated, or rounded session information
- Charging losses and differences between energy delivered and energy stored
- Battery capacity, battery age, temperature, charge level, and vehicle limits
- Charger capability, power sharing, session duration, and electrical conditions
- Utility rates, taxes, fees, memberships, rate schedules, and pricing changes
Do not rely on ChargeBuddy as your only source for billing, tax, reimbursement, maintenance, battery-health, travel, or safety-critical decisions. Confirm important information with your vehicle, charging provider, electricity provider, receipts, and other appropriate sources.
Local Data and Backups
Charging records, vehicles, locations, preferences, and other information saved by ChargeBuddy remain locally on your device. ChargeBuddy does not provide an account or cloud backup. You are responsible for maintaining access to and backups of your device. Deleting records or removing the app may permanently delete locally stored information.
Availability and Changes
ChargeBuddy is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. The app may be changed, updated, suspended, or discontinued at any time. Features may not always be available or work with every device or operating-system version.
Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, no warranty is made that ChargeBuddy will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely accurate. Eric Walker is not responsible for losses, damages, costs, lost records, billing differences, missed charging opportunities, or other consequences arising from use of the app or reliance on its records, statistics, estimates, or comparisons. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liabilities that cannot legally be excluded.
Changes to These Terms & Conditions
These Terms & Conditions may be updated from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page and will be effective when posted. Your continued use of ChargeBuddy after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
