Acceptance
By downloading or using TripWatt, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
What TripWatt provides
TripWatt is a manual EV road-trip recordkeeping utility. It stores entries you provide and calculates summaries such as energy use, efficiency, charging power, cost per kWh, totals, trends, and comparisons when the necessary values are available. It also supports user-initiated sharing, CSV spreadsheet export, and CSV backup and restore.
Your entries and responsibility
You are responsible for the accuracy and lawfulness of information you enter, export, or share. TripWatt's calculations depend on your entries, vehicle specifications, rounding, and the formulas implemented in the app. Review results before relying on them.
Not driving, charging, financial, or safety advice
TripWatt is not a navigation system, battery-management system, charger-status service, emergency service, or financial adviser. Do not interact with the app while driving. Follow vehicle guidance, road rules, charging-equipment instructions, and current conditions. Do not rely on TripWatt to determine whether a vehicle can safely reach a destination or charger.
Data, iCloud, and backups
You are responsible for maintaining any backups you require. If iCloud Sync is enabled, Apple's CloudKit service handles synchronization through your iCloud environment and availability may depend on your account, network, device settings, and Apple's services. Backup import replaces current TripWatt vehicles, trips, and applicable settings after confirmation. Exported or shared information is controlled by the destination you select.
License and acceptable use
Eric Walker grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use TripWatt on Apple devices under the applicable App Store rules. You may not misuse the app, attempt to disrupt it or related Apple services, or use it in violation of applicable law.
Availability and changes
The app may be updated, changed, suspended, or discontinued. Compatibility and synchronization can depend on iOS, iPadOS, iCloud, and App Store services. No promise is made that every feature will always be uninterrupted or error-free.
Disclaimer
To the extent permitted by applicable law, TripWatt is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties beyond those that cannot legally be excluded. Nothing in these terms limits consumer rights that applicable law does not allow to be waived.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Eric Walker will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss arising from use of the app, including loss caused by inaccurate entries or calculations, driving or charging decisions, synchronization issues, or lost data. This limitation does not apply where liability cannot legally be limited.
Apple
Apple is not responsible for TripWatt or its content, maintenance, or support. Your use of the app is also subject to applicable Apple Media Services and App Store terms. Apple and its subsidiaries may enforce terms that apply to them as third-party beneficiaries where applicable.
No chosen jurisdiction
These terms do not designate an exclusive governing-law jurisdiction or forum. Mandatory consumer protections and other applicable laws continue to apply.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change, the updated version should be posted with a revised date. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance only to the extent permitted by applicable law.
