Emoji Cart

Updated September 7, 2026

Overview

This privacy policy describes the current behavior of Emoji Cart, provided by Eric Walker. Emoji Cart is a fictional shopping and collection game.

Information the app stores

Emoji Cart stores information needed to operate your game, including your in-app display name, pretend Cash balance, XP and level, Gem balance and Gem ledger, StoreKit transaction references, orders and delivery state, owned product variants, rewards, daily activities, buyer sales, achievements, and reset/gameplay events. The app also stores a bundled product catalog that is the same for all users.

On-device storage and iCloud

Game information is stored on your device using Apple's SwiftData technology. It is also configured to synchronize through Apple's CloudKit service using a private database in your Apple/iCloud environment when iCloud is available. This synchronization can make progress and remaining Gems available across your devices. As a result, game data does not necessarily remain only on one device: Apple processes and stores synchronized information as part of iCloud/CloudKit.

A limited next-delivery snapshot—product name, emoji, delivery time, and number of pending packages—is shared locally between the app and its widget using an Apple app-group container.

Purchases

Optional consumable Gem packs are offered through Apple's StoreKit and App Store services. Apple processes the purchase. Emoji Cart receives transaction information needed to verify the purchase, prevent duplicate fulfillment, and add Gems, including the product identifier, transaction identifier, transaction environment, and purchase date. Emoji Cart does not receive your full payment-card details.

Notifications

If you choose to allow notifications, Emoji Cart schedules local delivery alerts on your device. The alert may contain the fictional product name for an arriving order. You can decline permission or change notification access in iOS Settings. The app's declared remote-notification background mode supports Apple platform synchronization; the reviewed app contains no custom remote marketing-push service.

Third parties, analytics, and advertising

The reviewed app does not include a non-Apple analytics service, advertising SDK, third-party login provider, custom backend, or other non-Apple service that collects or receives user information. Apple services—including iCloud/CloudKit, the App Store/StoreKit, notifications, and WidgetKit—process relevant information under Apple's own terms and privacy practices.

Tracking and sensitive permissions

Emoji Cart does not request App Tracking Transparency permission and does not use the camera, microphone, photo library, contacts, location, health data, or Bluetooth in the reviewed project.

Retention and control

Game information remains on the device and, when synchronized, in the associated private CloudKit environment until it is removed through app features, device or iCloud controls, or applicable Apple account controls. Emoji Cart includes a progress-reset feature; its confirmation explains the game data affected and notes that synchronized changes can apply to other devices. Deleting the app from one device may not by itself remove information already synchronized through iCloud.

Children

Emoji Cart is not designed to collect personal information from children through a developer-operated service. Optional in-app purchases are handled by Apple and may be subject to device purchase settings and family controls.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will show a revised date. The policy should be reviewed whenever the app's data practices change.
